**Ahem** I must in the interest of truth and modesty inform HouseNut that I didn't pick the colors. Our sainted PO, Bob, chose them. The house and garage were a sort of shutter green, with pale amber yellow trim on the house but not the garage. Bob chose a nice tertiary shade of red to replace the green, but unfortunately it reads as basic broad-side-of-the-barn red. We have not yet repainted anything. Our intention for the future is to keep the yellow trim, return the sashes to good old sash black, and use a more berry/maroon red for more of an earth-tone, tertiary-color effect.
