Well I'm roll with posting pictures so, here's a few more.
OHluver - we can't really open the parlor anymore than the original designer did, a Victorian open plan, neither opening has any evidence of hardware. Two of the walls are exterior and the other has the fireplace. Furniture placement might be an issue
Our original landing windows before
The family that gave us the dining room cabinet removed the screening around the porch that wasn't original, hopefully this year we'll replace the roof that we had to demolish when we bought the Purple House. I'm pretty certain they re-purposed the windows for the upstairs porch but the PO replaced them with new units
I've re-purposed the windows and transom in the upstairs porch, rather nifty I think but i'm surprised how many people try to walk through them.
cs - I know!! we have an underground drainage system because the land floods, it pumps the water over onto our neighbors property ( covered by an easement) - this is what happens when 'someone' turns it off just before the storm of 2010, 8" in the basement and our neighbors had ducks
I confessed but my husband doesn't believe me, He has however bought a childproofing device to prevent it happening again.
The Ikea rug is now back at our 1964 home resting in our screened porch having thoroughly enjoyed it's cleaning and none the worse for wear
A foot at it's deepest point
