How to fix Silos or companies that do this kind of work?
I've noticed one of my open top, not used silos has ground eroded away. There's a clear gap of 3in that is at least 8ft long.
I have no idea where to even start looking for someone who can fix silos and Google has not helped what so ever...

Usually they are just galvanized steel. A roofing company or sheetmetal fabricator should be able to fix it.

These two are medium sized concrete silos.
And the dirt has eroded away, just adding something might not help any...

So it sounds like you are saying that the foundations of the silo are in danger of being undermined, is this correct? If so, any good local general contractor (not a "fix-it" guy) would do just fine, probably.

Where my parents live, there are certain "old-timer" contractors who have done lots of work on various farms in the area over the years. Some of them are even farmers themselves. Someone like this would be great to know for you anyway, so you might ask around. You might also think about rebuilding the roof for the silo, too. That might help, depending upon the causes of the erosion.

That's another thing, no idea where to buy a silo roof...Been wanting to close the tops since I first saw the property.
I guess I will put up an ad at the farm store and see what happens.
There is a pebble/concrete mix base and the concrete silo sits atop that. I'm not sure if the platform has sunk away or the bottom of the concrete silo has eroded. Thought it was on dirt, opps, sorry.
I'll get a picture at some point. Hope I can find someone before it falls and crushes a critter...

Oh... I read your post wrong. You need hte concrete base repaired. A silo is just a verticla tank or vessel. That's standard industrial concrete work. Most concerete contractor should be able to repair it. Nothing unique to a silo vs. any other equipment base.

There are special epoxy infused concrete grouts meant for repair fo concrete bases and foundations. Some are 5X stronger than even high strength concrete.
