I don't know though. If you're serious and can afford to stay where you are while the most dangerous stuff is taken care of... 50,000 would cover a lot of work.

The dangers of mold are overblown. There's mold in almost every house. There's mold outside every house. There are some dangerous molds, but they are very rare. You just here about them more as they make flashy headlines. Even after supposed "remediation", the mold isn't entirely gone, but just reduced in amount. Add some moisture to the house and you right back where you started from.


On the other hand, 6000 square foot is a lot of house and probably a money pit.
