Ajuga is grown as a ground cover and some varieties have variegated foliage. Ajuga produces spikes of purple or white flowers. The plant grows in sun or light shade but some of the variegated types may require a different light exposure. The soil may be any type if not too dry.
Division can be done in fall or spring. Ajuga can crowd other plants if not contained.
