Camassia quamash (esculenta) - Quamash, Camass
Quamash bulbs are planted in early autumn in an area receiving sun or light shade. Garden soil is best but the plant tolerates wet, soggy soil. The plant grows one and a half feet tall. Plant the bulbs 5 inches apart and 4 inches deep.
Propagation is by division of dormant plants. Remove the offsets from dormant bulbs.
