Childanthus

Childanthus grows in well drained sandy loam amended with organic matter. The roots are planted in April with the nose of the bulb just exposed. Space plants 18 inches apart. The bulbs are dug in the fall and stored in boxes of sand or peat.

Propagation is by offsets removed when the plant is dug. These will flower in about three years.
