Aphids suck plant juices but can be controlled with Diazinon dust or sprays of rotenone or Sevin.

Beetles, including rose chafer and japanese beetle, feed on Foxglove. Sprays of methoxychlor, rotenone, or Sevin control these insects. Since they occur in large numbers the sprays may not seem to reduce beetle populations.
