Pelargonium domesticum - Martha Washington Geranium

This type of geranium is more difficult to grow than other types. It needs a sunny growing area and well-drained soil. Allow slight, but not complete, soil drying between waterings. Use a dilute liquid fertilizer at weekly intervals on actively growing plants. No flower buds form if the temperature goes above 60 degrees. Martha Washington geranium grows best with lots of fresh air and when pot bound. The plants are cut back and put in semi-sun after flowering.

Propagation is by cuttings taken in July and rooted in sand.
