Hemigraphis - Red Ivy, Purple Waffle Plant


Hemigraphis cultivars have different common names. The cultivar 'colorata' is the red ivy and cultivar 'exotica' is the purple waffle plant. The plant tolerates low light but grows best in an east or west window or in partial sun to partial shade. Keep the soil moist as the plant requires a lot of water. Hemigraphis is moderately easy to grow, needs temperatures between 60 and 85 degrees and grows best in high humidity.

Propagation methods are stem tip cuttings or layering. The cuttings in 2 to 3 weeks.
