Juniperus procumbens--Japanese Garden Juniper


This low, wide-spreading shrub is usually present in landscapes in the form of one of its cultivars. Usually tolerates poor soils but is sometimes subject to attacks of blight. The plant is a slow grower and is usually 18 inches tall with a spread of 8 to 10 feet.

The most common cultivar is listed: 'Nana' - a low, dense mass that can spread 10 feet in time.
