Potentilla aurea

Some of the potentillas are used as shrubs while others are used in the perennial garden. This one grows 3 to 6 inches tall and produces yellow flowers May through July. The best growing area has a sunny exposure and a well- drained sandy loam. Fertilization during the summer flowering period is suggested. Planting may be done in fall or spring.

Propagation is by division done in the spring or fall.
