Pasque flowers grow in shade and prefer a light soil. Most are early bloomers. Two of the more common types are listed.
Pulsatilla vernalis The smallest of the pasque flowers as it grows only six inches high.
Pulsatilla vulgaris has purple flowers in April. Propagation is by division in spring or fall.
