Quercus coccinea--Scarlet Oak

This oak will grow on sandy soils and reaches a height of 75 feet with a spread of about 45 feet. The main ornamental trait is the scarlet fall leaf color for which it is named. Said to exhibit less chlorosis than pin oak but should still be grown on acidic soils.
