Vinca Crown Canker and Dieback

Large plantings or vinca are sometimes infected with this disease. Individual stems turn brown or many times they are black. The stem dies back to the ground. Wet weather increase the incidence and severity of the disease.

No chemical control is listed. Remove the diseased plant and keep fallen leaves raked of large plantings to allow better air circulation and drying.
