Completing the job

Before you make that final payment, use this checklist to make sure the job is complete

A job completion checklist from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Consumer Protection Division.

• Does all work meets the standards spelled out in the contract?
• Do you have written warranties for materials and workmanship?
• Do you have proof that all subcontractors and suppliers have been paid?
• Is the job site cleaned up and cleared of excess materials, tools and equipment?
• Have you have inspected and approved the completed work?
