Once standard equipment only in commercial kitchens, refrigerator drawers are now available for home cooks. Sub-Zero offers this 5 cubic foot refrigerator/freezer drawer combination. The upper drawer refrigerator has a crisper with removable cover and also houses the electronic controls. There's space in the 2.1 cubic foot lower drawer freezer for a few goodies and an optional ice maker. A beeping alarm will warn you when either drawer is left ajar.
Stainless steel drawer fronts and matching handles are offered three finishes: classic, platinum and carbon. The unit measures 34-1/2" tall by 27" wide and 24" deep. Retail price is about $2,800 (November 2004).
