The knobs of this cooktop are held in place by strong magnets located below the ceramic glass surface. Beyond making clean-up easier (no stems to scrub around), it has safety plusses, too. It's easily childproofed. In case of emergency, removing the knob(s) immediately shuts down the cooktop.
Dual-element burners can accommodate either small or large pots, and high-speed heating elements reach operating temperatures quickly. Suggested price for the cooktop is $819 (September 2004).
