Carpets: The Fintona

Reviewed by:
Rosemary Thornton
Handtufted with 100 percent wool, this contemporary carpet is based on an original Donegal design, "The Fintona." Donegal carpets were popular in England in the late 1800s and early 1900s, at the beginning of the Ars and Crafts movement.

The pattern shown here was first desgined and woven in 1902 and contains black, tan, sage green, teal green and rusty red.
