The Paslode Impulse cordless stapler was designed for installing vinyl siding, but it would be handy for a host of other jobs such as insulation, lathing, duct work, fence and soffit installation. The stapler weighs 6.5 pounds and fires up to three staples per second. It holds 150 16-gage, standard crown galvanized staples ranging from 3/4 inch to two inches in length.
The nailer fires approximately 4,000 staples per battery charge. The tool retails for around $400 (March 2005).
