Strips of maple and jabota woods are laminated together to produce this striking butcher block countertop. Choose from a mineral oil finish which will need routine maintenance, or a polyurethane finish to completely seal the wood. Wood choices include ash, cherry, maple, mahogany, walnut, oak and chestnut. Expect to pay $255 to $510 for a 25" by 60" section of countertop (October 2004). Countertops are 1-1/5" to 3" thick.
