Handcrafted in Northern Vermont, this Whale's Tail Quarter Column Grandfather Clock is made with solid hardwoods such as tiger maple and cherry.

This 18th century reproduction gets its fanciful name from the fretwork atop the clock's bonnet. The clock face is wooden, featuring handpainted numbers and a bucolic scene.

The 8-day German movement is weight-driven, with a gong strike.

  • Whale's Tail Quarter Column Clock is $5,500 (cherry) or $5,875 (maple) (August 2006).
  • Dimensions: 87" high x 10-1/2" deep.
