Diner booths, once the mainstay of 1950s diners, have found their way into residential kitchens. Using only 4' x 6' of floor space, these two bench seats have space for six people (some scrunching required). A matching 30" x 42" table is offered with a pedestal base (pictured), or it can be bolted in place. Choose from several fabric options and laminate tops, including cracked ice and boomerang patterns. Price is about $1,550 (December 2004).
