Low VOC Paint: Paint without the fresh-paint smell

For some, the smell of a freshly painted room can trigger sneezing fits, allergic reactions -- or worse. Safecoat interior wall paint is formulated with these chemically-sensitive people in mind.

This product has lower toxic residuals -- such as formaldehyde and ammonia -- than standard paints. This reduces odors during and after application.

Safecoat can be used on interior walls and ceilings, primed plaster, metal and masonry. Expect to pay about $31 per gallon through online or bricks-and-mortar retailers (Sept. 2004).
