Paint Brushes: A long-lasting trim brush

Reviewed by:

A quality paint brush makes the job easier -- and the results more pleasing.

Wooster's "Ultra Pro Linbeck" is a good choice for painting trim and other finish work.

This is a nylon/polyster blend brush with a maple wood handle. Cared for properly, a single brush will see you through more paint jobs than you may care to tackle. These tapered brushes are slightly thicker than brushes designed for painting sash - though many pro painters use this model for trim and sash alike. Expect to pay $9 to $18 (September 2004) for these brushes online or in paint stores, depending upon the size. Available widths range from from 1 1/2" to 3 1/2".
