This Florentine-style faux hinge strap, together with a matching escutcheon plate for the door knob, can transform an average-looking door into something quite elegant and regal.
Both door plates and hinges can be ordered unfinished and ready for painting or in one of 36 standard finishes. Installation is quick and painless: These decorative hinge straps butt up to the existing mortised hinge and the door escutcheons slip over the door knob. Hinges start at $11 and escutcheons are $30 (July 2004).
