These solid brass screws have squared heads which, according to the manufacturer, provide more drilling torque than conventional screws. Created in Canada in 1908, square-head screws are often used in furniture frames, because they're well-suited for hardwood and tough materials.
The square-head screw does require a special bit. This kit includes two driver bits, two hand drivers, 600 solid brass flat head screws (100 each of six popular sizes) and bin.
