Where have all the red and green roofs gone? They're back in this Country Mansion line of designer shingles offered by GAF. With a profile intended to replicate the look of cut slate, one square of this fiberglass shingle weighs 425 pounds, or about half the weight of slate.
It's treated to inhibit the growth of algae and comes with a limited lifetime warranty. Each shingle has a double row of adhesive and is rated for winds up to 110 miles per hour. Choose from several colors such as Moss Green (shown), Victorian Red, Old Pewter and five others.
