Shutters: Shutting out storms

Reviewed by:
Rosemary Thornton
Shutters have long been used to protect against nasty weather. This contemporary Bermuda shutter provides protection from sun, heat and rain. It can also serve as a hurricane shutter. Hinged at the top, it adjusts to several angles and can be locked down during severe weather.

The hinge, slats and other components are made of extruded aluminum and coated with a powder finish, offered in 10 colors. Price for a 30" by 72" white shutter is $375 (September 2004).
