Handcarved by a Vermont artist, these soapstone sinks are individually signed and come with a certificate of authenticity.

Offered in single or double bowls, they're durable, nonporous and suitable for interior or exterior use. Complementing tiles and countertops are also available.

Price is about $1,300 (March 2005).
