Sometimes older is better, especially in a building material that's already passed the one-billion-year-old mark. Made up of browns and grays and soft pinks, these granite stones also have flecks of mica, which sparkle in bright light.
The stone veneer building material is hand-split into thicknesses of 3" to 5". About one ton of rock will cover 40 square feet of wall area.
