Imported from Turkey, Mexico and Italy, travertine is a natural stone similar to limestone, with its irregular, rough surface.

Ideal for walls, installed travertine tiles require sealant and other periodic maintenance. Shown here is "Crater" which has been honed and filled (smoothed over), and is one of 42 designs offered.

  • Travertine tile comes in three sizes: 12" x 12"; 16" x 16"; 24" x 24".
  • Price is about $4.10 per square foot (September 2006).
