Wall Sconces: Safe Light

Reviewed by:

It's better to light a candle than curse the darkness, especially if the candle is electric. The originals that this sconce is modeled on ould have used candles to provide safe, stationary lighting for hallways and staircases.

These modern reproductions have beeswax sleeves and use 40-watt candelabra base bulbs. Choose from tin or brass, finished or lacquer-free (enabling metal surface to naturally age).

If you prefer a more authentic look, candle cups (instead of electric sockets) are an optional extra.
