Cubby Vac is designed to fit in a 16" stud cavity after sheet rock, making this central vacuum ideal for both remodeling and new construction
The unit protrudes 2-1'8" at the top and 3-1/4" at the bottom for a slim fit. The center can also be installed flush through a closet door or surface mounted on the inside of the door.
Installation, according to the manufacturer, takes 30 to 45 minutes. The motor driven hose to extend and retract from its own cabinet with the touch of a button. With a hose system reach of 48 feet and a radius of 96 feet, the vacuum is capable of cleaning 2,500 square feet from one location.
