The problem: Our pre-1920 home has masking tape around all the windows. How do I remove the sticky residue that is left when I peel the tape off?
The solution: As a native of the Virginia Beach area, I lived through lots of hurricane warnings and we went through lots of masking tape for the windows.
To remove the sitcky residue, spray on WD-40 and just let it sit for a moment. Then use a razor blade to scrape off the mess. This also works on price tage, duct tape and anything else with adhesive. -- Rose, on the OHW bulletin boards.
