Majestic slate roofing tiles look and feel like natural stone, but are manufactured from post-industrial waste rubber and plastic, making them both lightweight and affordable.Like real slate, these synthetic tiles have a long life -- 50 years or more. EcoStar modified its technology from "starloy," a product that was developed for sea dock walkways 20 years ago to produce the synthetic slate tiles.
