Fencing: Finial finese

Fence finials often fail before the rest of the fencing. Island Post Cap sells mahogany and redwood finials manufactured by Boston Turning Works. A lamination process using polymer adhesives creates, according to the manufacturer, a sturdy and long-lasting finial.

Stock sizes are 4", 5", 6" and 8" diameters (measured at widest point) and can be special ordered up to 15". Eight styles of finials are available.
