Pocket Doors: Gliding doors

Rosemary Thornton, contributing editor
Victorian charmerTo the old house owner, sliding doors may conjure up an image of heavy panels that have to be coaxed in and out of their pockets. This Shoji door from Cherry Tree Design glides gracefully on its own external tracks, making installation fairly simple.

The wooden lattice screens are paneled with a translucent insert of paper, acrylic, or glass. The frames are made of hardwood and the grids are removable.
