Lighting: Julia in lights

Rosemary Thornton, contributing editor
Victorian charmerThe Julia Chandelier is an accurate reproduction of a 1927 light fixture found in the Sausalito Women's Club. This building and its fixtures were designed by Julia Morgan, one of the first women architects in California, whose work was expressive of the Arts and Crafts movement.

This 3-light chandelier is framed in wrought iron with a painted finish. The panels of the 20" wide fixture are quatrefoil amber mica. Price is $850 (August 2004).
