Magnetos and cranks are repaired as needed -- so that a few turns of the crank will jingle the bells.
The base price for a non-working phone is $395 to $450 (September 2004). For an extra $125 to $150, the phone can be wired to accept calls or, if you would like, equipped with a touch pad -- hidden inside the phone's old battery compartment -- so that it can accept and make calls.
