Victorian charmerHardwood Shaker doors and drawer fronts can create a dramatic new look for your old kitchen cabinets. Mapleton Shaker (shown here in maple) is offered in a variety of stains and in flat matte, eggshell, satin, semi-gloss or high-gloss finishes.

In addition to maple, it's also available in red oak, cherry or knotty pine. The manufacturer estimates that it will cost about $1200 - $2000 to reface an average kitchen (15 kitchen cabinets).

A single 18" x 30" door (in Mapleton Shaker with maple) costs $87 unfinished and $135 finished (November 2004).
