Some of the energy savings come at the expense of convenience -- the freezer compartment must be manually defrosted. But a well-insulated cabinet and bottom-mount freezer also contribute to the energy efficiency.Condenser and cooling tubes are built into the cabinet, protecting them from dust and ensuring a quieter operation.
