Bathroom Sinks: 1890s reproduction basin

Rosemary Thornton, contributing editor
Victorian charmerOld-house purists will appreciate the level of detail in this modern wash basin, faithfully reproduced from the pages of the 1890s Thomas Crapper Plumbing Supplies catalog.

Hand-cast and hand-finished in vitreous china, the sink is complete with the company insignia fired into the glaze, as was the practice a century ago.

The sink is available in two sizes - 25" x 19" or 22" x 17" and with two holes (for individual faucets, as pictured) or three holes (for faucet mixer set). Price is about $1,000 (faucets not included). (January 2005).
