Bathrooms: Sprouting brushes

You might not think of toilet brushes as designer accessories, but this one might be the exception. Intended to resemble a fanciful potted plant, it was originally made with a dark orange base (think faux terra cotta). New colors for the bottom include blue, lime and orange. Made of a thermoplastic resin, the toilet brushes are the creation of Italian designer Stefano Giovannoni. Price is about $47 (March 2005).
