Hearth Rugs: Ashes to Ashes

Designed to replicate the look of antique persian (kirman) carpets, these hearth rugs are made of 100% Olefin (a heat resistant fiber) and have a jute and polyester backing.

According to the manufacturer, hot fireplace embers may create a char mark on the carpet, but the material prevents flame spread. (Its fringe is not fire resistant.)

Color options are green and ivory. The 32" by 42" rug retails for $38 (July 2005).
