Wide Plank Flooring: Time Tested

Rosemary Thornton, contributing editor
Victorian charmerFew things in your house will endure as much abuse as your floors, and these wide planks have withstood the test of time. This antique wood was salvaged from old barns and vintage houses and then milled into new shapes and sizes.

The color, patina, nail holes, knots and natural weathering are preserved and are an important part of this flooring's unique and varied character.

Shown here in "Antique Oak," it's sold in lengths of two to eight feet and in random widths. Choose from tongue and groove or straight-edge cuts.

  • Ask for Antique Country Plank Floors.
  • Price is around $6.95 per square foot (July 2005).
