The H & L Half-Log is an engineered lumber product with a wood exterior veneer (made from Aspen wood fibers), laminated to an expanded polystyrene core. The backing is OSB (oriented strand board).Log sizes are 10", 12", 14" and 16" diameters. According to this company, this product offers four times greater R-value than solid logs and weigh 80% less. These half-logs can be affixed to masonry, wood, metal and insulated concrete form (ICF) systems.
