Log Siding: Skinny Logs

They're real logs, just a little thinner than most. This quarter-log siding is tongue-and-grooved on four sides which simplifies installation and diminishes material waste. Fasteners (nails or screws) are hidden by the tongue and groove and no caulking is required because there are no open joints.

This log siding is offered in red pine or northern white cedar, smooth or hand-hewn, in 6" or 8" (with a 2" thickness).

Price for 2" x 6" cedar is $388 per 100 square feet (August 2005).
