Chimney Caps: Spark Protection

Keep the sparks from flying at your house with this solid brass chimney cap. A wire mesh affixed to the inside of the cap keeps pests out and sparks in, protecting your roof.

Custom made and handcrafted, the cap is constructed of 16-ounce sheet copper and the manufacturer says that it will last a lifetime. This vent can be placed over existing hardware and vents.

For a little extra, the shiny copper surface can be chemically aged to create a green patina.

Model: Copper Chimney Cap

Price is $14.50 per inch (length plus width). A 30" by 20" chimney cap would be $725 (October 2005).
