Wood Flooring: Prefinished Pine

Avoid the hassle of applying stain and finish to pine floors. These knotty pine planks are prefinished with seven coats of a scratch-resistant aluminum oxide coating.

The planks are made from loblolly pines, which (according to the manufacturer) are harder and more stable than other species of pine.

Prefinished Knotty Pine Flooring is $5.15 per square foot (April 2006).
